Key 4 is a group of engineered abominations created by Valentine's team. They were created at The Gourd on Mirage Island. After the SALIGIA Incident, Azriel took control of The Gourd and Key 4.
In "Bingo Book: Sephiroth", the four creatures of Key 4 are revealed to be captured Sephiroth agents.
Norbert the Left[]
Norbert the Left, or the Key to the Northern Gourd, is a member of the Key 4. He has the power of invisibility in which he uses to make sneak attacks using a spear. He is wounded and later finished off by Yugo and Larac.
Norbert is killed by Yugo and Larac in "Bingo Book: The Key 4".
In "Bingo Book: Sephiroth", Norbert's real name is revealed to be Netzach.
Wes the Evening[]
Wes the Evening, or the Key to the Western Gourd, is a member of the Key 4. He has the power to manipulate objects. He claims to be the strongest of the Key 4 but is defeated by Sirberius and Tenkai.
Wes is killed by Sirberius and Tenkai in "Bingo Book: The Key 4".
In "Bingo Book: Sephiroth", Wes' real name is revealed to be Hod.
Tsae the Dawn[]
Tsae the Dawn, or the Key to the Eastern Gourd, is a member of the Key 4. He has the ability to manipulate the temperature around him but Valentine is able to counter the ability and defeat him.
Tsae is killed by Valentine and N.V. in "Bingo Book: The Key 4".
In "Bingo Book: Sephiroth", Tsae's real name is revealed to be Keter. He swore to defeat Valentine if they were to meet again but failed to do so.
Sutherland the Sun[]
Sutherland the Sun, or the Key of the Southern Gourd, is a member of the Key 4. He has the ability use hellfire. He fights C. Ling Kett and Rubi in The Gourd's kitchen but fails to win.
Sutherland is killed by Ling and Rubi in "Bingo Book: The Key 4".
In "Bingo Book: Sephiroth", Sutherland's real name is revealed to be Malkuth.
Trivia[]
- Key 4 is based on the Cardinal Key, the tool on maps that state where North, South, East, and West are; the connection with SALIGIA is because both the Cardinal Key and the Cardinal Sins both have "cardinal" in the name, which so happens to be Dmitri's second favorite bird (owl is first)
- Norbert shares the same name as a dragon in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
- In the earlier stages of Key 4, Wes was originally named Stew but decided to go with Wes instead
- Dmitri was going to change Norbert's name to Thorn but Carl posted before Dmitri could do so so Norbert was kept
- Sutherland's name comes from the actor Kiefer Sutherland, the actor most known for his part in 24
- Dmitri was debating whether to call Tsae Eastly but decided to go with Tsae since it sounded like the name Sai, the Japanese version of Mr. X
